Runnnnnnning on empty....

SOOOO, things are crazy.
I'm working overtime this week,
my husband's going into the field and
leaving me all alone for three days (tear!),
and today my car died!

So, while I'm attempting not to pull my hair out,
just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here,
and I have a tutorial coming up as soon as I get a second to breathe :)

Anyone else having a way-too-insane week?

Style Hunt Tuesday.

So, the husband and I went shopping today,
and I just have to say, that Old Navy is extremely underrated.
They had some of the cutest clothes today, especially dresses.

Below are just a few of the great things I found.
Check out the sales they have online right now too!

Have you found any great things
at an under-appreciated store lately?

Shabby Apple Overboard Dress Giveaway

So, Grosgrain has done it again.
They have posted an ADORBALE dress from Shabby Apple to giveaway.

I fell in love with Shabby Apple last year when my sister
won a dress from them on another site's giveaway.
They're so 40's inpired and you just feel like a pin-up girl wearing one
(the classy, demure, 40's style pin-up, of course. Nothing raunchy.)

Shabby Apple's new line of nautical dresses and skirts
are so classy and adorable. You'll fall in love at one glance. I know I did.

Check out the giveaway here: Shabby Apple Overboard Dress Giveaway
and maybe you'll be the lucky winner!

Plus, Grosgrain is offering a 10% discount code
at Shabby Apple if you just can't stand it
and have to go buy one for yourself :)

Now I said my ABCs.

This was stolen from my lovely friend Heather,
and it is definitely a blast from the past filling it out :)
I remember a million of these I filled out
for my livejournal back in the day.
Care to have a little fun and fill it out in return?

Treasures for less.

So, I've a new addiction.

It's called Heartsy and it's brilliant.

For those of you who appreciate
the beauty that is Etsy.com,
allow me to introduce to you a better way
to browse and find lovely things on Etsy.

Heartsy features different Etsy artists,
and allows you to purchase "vouchers"
that can be used at that particular merchant's Etsy shop.

The kicker, as they say, is that each voucher is worth
a fraction of what you pay for it,
so you're basically buying gift certificates
to Etsy shops for less.

Why would any sane artist do this, you ask?
Well, it's simple: promotion.
You like what they have,
you come back for more.
Only this way,
you don't have to spend a fortune to do so.

The best part is that if you purchase
a VIP membership for $7 and some change,
you get an even bigger voucher
for the same amount of money.

I've been on Heartsy for three days now,
and I've already purchased two vouchers.
It's crazy easy and so much fun.

I dare you to try it.

long time no see, eh?

Hi there.

So, I've been on hiatus.

That's what I'm calling it, at least,
but it involved a break up,
three moves, a job change,
a career choice, a meeting,
and a marriage to a wonderful man.

Needless to say, life is good.

And at the urging of my lovely sister,
I'm back to share with you all again.

Look for more sparkles,
less mopeyness,
(yes, that's a word. I checked.)
and way more fun ;)

You. No. Longer. Matter.

I want things to stop changing.
Progress.
Digress.
Even when it's so much better,
there's still a part of me that feels so detached until the new,
becomes familiar,
and I am no longer faced with anything from before.
And every time thoughts of what was,
or the words of people come and gone,
those who were once so very much a part of my life,
are staring me in the face,
especially when it takes me by surprise,
I just wish I could erase memories.
Those that hurt.
Those that remind me of what was,
all the good, and all the pain.
They are no longer a part of my world.

I only want what I have.
The beautiful man in my life,
the world we've created together,
even in such a short time,
and I wish for all the rest to fade away,
disappear,
and leave me in peace.

Please,
just leave me in peace.
